Who you'd actually be working with

I'm Rushmi. A paramedic by day, and your celebrant on the day.

Two jobs that have more in common than they sound like they do. Both of them are about staying calm while something important happens to someone else.

Rushmi, Melbourne marriage celebrant, outdoors with a glass of wine.

Why I do this

By day, I'm a paramedic, so I'm used to staying calm under pressure, managing moving parts, and supporting people through important moments. Becoming a marriage celebrant felt like a natural extension of that, just in a much happier setting.

I genuinely love working with people and hearing their stories. Your ceremony isn't just something to get through before the reception. It sets the tone for your entire day, and it should feel like you.

I'm based in Melbourne and travel across Victoria and interstate. I love celebrating every kind of couple, including culturally meaningful South Asian, Indian and Sri Lankan ceremonies and family traditions.

Why couples choose me

  • Calm and organised, so your ceremony feels relaxed and runs smoothly
  • Personal and flexible, guided with helpful templates and ideas, while still tailored to feel like you
  • Clear support through every step, including vows and paperwork
  • Culturally adaptable and inclusive, respectful of all backgrounds, traditions and stories
  • Relaxed but professional, easy to work with, while everything is handled properly behind the scenes

Where I work

I'm based in Melbourne and cover all of Greater Melbourne, including Narre Warren, Clyde and Berwick. I also travel across Victoria and interstate. If your venue is further out, just tell me where and we'll work it out together.

If that sounds like your kind of person, let's have a chat.

No obligation, no sales pitch. Tell me the date and the vibe and we'll go from there. I usually reply within a day.
